The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has announced the 2011/2012 GenXt Committee, appointing financial adviser Sarah Riegelhuth from Wealth Enhancers as Chair.

Richard Klipin, the CEO of the AFA said, “Sarah has been one of the shining lights and proud supporters of the AFA for the past four years and has distinguished herself as a finalist in the AFA’s Rising Star of the Year Awards in both 2008 and 2009. Her knowledge and passion for the advice industry make her a great choice for the position of Chair of our GenXt Program.”

GenXt is designed to ‘bridge the gap’ between the current and next generation of advisers, by formulating a program of events and forums to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, experience, skills and networks between the generations.

Ms Riegelhuth said she is delighted to have been selected to take on the challenge of GenXt Chair at one of the most important stages in the history of the advice industry. “It’s no secret that, with FOFA reforms about to move from theory into practice, we have some challenging times ahead,” she said. “I look forward to helping our younger advisers navigate those changes.”

The GenXt Roadshow, which toured the country and wrapped up late last month attracted a record number of over 1300 attendees. “That’s a fantastic endorsement of what we do for our younger advisers and the quality of the GenXt program,” Ms Riegelhuth said. “It also demonstrates the AFA’s steadfast belief in the calibre of our newest recruits.”
