No-one will care how the changes that will come into effect post the Ripoll Inquiry, The Cooper Review and the Henry Review will affect financial services more than those of us with vested interests. ASIC is already flexing its muscles in anticipation of having greater regulatory power over licensees and advisers, as recommended by the Ripoll Inquiry.  Licensees in particular must be prepared to lobby Canberra. They must also be prepared to air their views via an intelligent and well-orchestrated media campaign or they simply won't be heard - which means they risk having to live in a world shaped by those who are prepared to debate issues in the media. No lobbying, no media = no clout.

Ensuring your concerns play out in the media and that you play a role in shaping the future of the industry, means you must be able to articulate those concerns clearly, cleverly and colourfully to the right media, at the right time, in the right way.
