| | Julie Bennett, Principal Julie Bennett is the daughter of a retired opera singer and (thanks to her Dad) began her working life as a child actor for Opera Australia in the newly opened Sydney Opera House. The experience gave her an up-close-and-personal understanding of stage presence and production which she carries through to her work in media today. After graduating with an Arts (Communications) degree and a Fairfax Newspaper Award for feature writing in the late 1990s, Julie spent 10 years working in media, first as a program manager creating corporate videos and then as a journalist, editor and managing editor across a range of consumer and finance publications. Julie spent two years working with Australian media personality David Koch as the inaugural editor of Wealth. She later went on to fund, launch and publish Zack Magazine, a lifestyle publication for baby boomers. Today, Julie operates 64 Media, a boutique public relations, media training and events management consultancy. After volunteering on the committee for several years, Julie was recently appointed Chair of the Financial Planning Association (Sydney Chapter) 2009 Belief in Financial Planning Dinner Committee supporting the leading children's charity The Day of Difference Foundation. In 2009, with the moral support of female leaders within the finance industry Julie, together with Krystyna Weston (The Private Collection), will launch "Mums Walk & Talk", a walk along Sydney's foreshore designed to provide mothers in the workforce with the opportunity to talk to older working mothers from all walks of life. Mums Walk & Talk is an initiative of Julie and Krystyna's new business MAW Support (Mums at Work Support) which will also launch in 2009.
